Lodging in Siem Reap for Free WiFi Access

我々は世界中のノート形パソコンを持って旅行する人からＷｉＦｉを使ってインターネットに接続したいのでこの町で無料でそんなサービスを提供するホテルとかゲストハウスを知りたいとのメールをいただきましたので、このページを作りました。一泊三十ドルまでの宿は実際に泊まってＷｉＦｉの設備をチェックしました。そこで、ここに一泊の料金を基準に分類しました。どうぞ参考にしてください。なお、料金は２００８年十月現在のもので、シングルルームの値段で、Ｂは朝食が無料で食べられるということです。

It should be noted, however, that if you have a favorite place to stay in Siem Reap, which does not have free WiFi access, do not despair because you can always buy a WiFi card for your laptop to access the Internet from your room.　ＷｉＦｉがない宿泊所特にお気に入りの場所がある場合には、ＷｉＦｉカードを買えば、ノートパソコンが使える可能性もあります。

$10 or less per night:

Earthwalkers ($5/B; fan): Everything is very clean to the European standards and the free breakfast is quite adequate. The only thing you may have to keep in mind is that inexpensive rooms do not have a TV, but the lovely garden has a good-size swimming pool($2 for use), but one can always view CNN and BBC news on your laptop.

Golden Temple Villa ($8; fan): If you are interested in WiFi Internet access, this is one of the closest lodging possibilities to the Old Market. The management of this villa runs two or three excellent restaurants with bars, called Temple Balcony and Temple Club on the "Pub Street", and Traditional Khmer Restaurant on the "Passage." The rooms in this villa seem to be varied in size and shape so if you decide to say a long time, you may wish to check several rooms first before deciding which one to take.

Mandalay Inn ($7; fan): Supported by a very congenial couple, this inn is one of the two

best places (the other being Molly Malone's) for anyone wishing to have the wireless Internet access and a very clean room near the Old Market. The inn has a restaurant serving Burmese and Khmer dishes. If you wish to make a reservation, make sure that you tell them you wish to be in a room that has the wireless Internet access, as some floors do not have it.

$11-$20:

Molly Malone's ($20; a/c): This is another guesthouse near the Old Market where your stay will be satisfactory simply because it is so close to the center of town. The restaurant on the grand floor good as long as you like Irish food. This guesthouse's WiFi network often does not work properly.

The Villa Siem Reap ($18): This quaint villa is fairly far from the center of town but is easily within the walking distance from the Old market. It has a nice garden restaurant, where breakfast and BBQ buffet dinners are good, in addition to the excellent WiFi Internet connection.

Two Dragons Guesthouse ($15; a/c)

$21-$30:

Chateau d'Angkor Inn ($30; a/c): This is a brand-new country inn which can also be described as a beautifully decorated boutique guest house with beautifully polished timber walls. Each of the ten rooms is furnished with all the amenities that a traveler requires as a comfortable place to relax in. Situated only five minutes to Angkor Wat and five minutes to the downtown shopping and restaurant area, the new inn is very quiet with a very rustic bar that can make anyone relax. Highly recommended.

綺麗に内装されたこの宿はスタイリッシュなゲストハウスと考えられ、十部屋ありますが、各部屋は旅行者がくつろぐには十分な物が冷蔵庫はもちろんついています。場所はアンコーワットから五分で、またショッピングが楽しいオールドマーケットからも五分ぐらいです。屋外には最近バーも立てられすごくリラックスできる所です。WiFi も強い信号があり、インターネットもまた楽しいです。強く奨励いたします。 

Encore Angkor Guesthouse ($25/B; a/c): This is a beautiful guesthouse as it was constructed only about six months ago with a nice pool in the back. The rooms are quite large and the bathrooms are fully functional with plenty of hot water. Every guest of the hotel is served an excellent breakfast of eggs, fruits, pancakes, and drink. This hotel is very close to the Old Market area so you can easily walk to all the famous restaurants and bars on the "Pub Street." Unfortunately, the management has discontinued the WiFi service as it had so many complaints with the weak signal.

Golden Orange Hotel ($30/B; a/c): This is a beautifully appointed, western run hotel. No one staying here would complain of its free breakfast or clean, well appointed rooms. And the WiFi access works well. The only problem some people may have is that it is slightly too far to walk to the Old Market, but a Tuk Tuk can easily get you there in five minutes for $1.00.

There is an excellent restaurant, A Cut Above, that serves some of the best steaks in town and also has a full European and Asian menu, and one can eat inside or outside at the terrace open air bar. In this restaurant, the hotel offers a pleasant BBQ dinner every Sunday night that consists of two kinds of chicken, pork ribs, a sausage, a potato salad, and an assortment of fresh salad vegetables. The BBQ sauces on the all the meats are very tasty and for a price of $7.00, one could really enjoy a pleasant evening near the bar with reasonably priced drinks.

ゴールデン・オレンジ・ホテルは綺麗に飾られた、西洋人の経営するホテルです。ここに宿泊する人は誰であり、無料の朝食や清潔で、すばらしい家具の入った部屋に感心するでしょう。そして、ＷｉＦｉインターネットは完璧です。ただ、オールド・マーケットからは徒歩では少し遠すぎますが、ツクツクなら五分、一ドルで行けます。

ホテル内には、”ア・カット・アバブ”　というレストランがあり、この町では一二を争う味のステーキが楽しめるだけでなく、ヨーロッパとアジアの料理が室内でもテラス・バーのある屋外でも幅広く楽しめます。このレストランでは、毎日曜日の夜、バーバーキューの食事が楽しめます。一人七ドルで、鶏肉、豚肉、ソーセージにポテトサラダと野菜のサラダが付いて、ビールもカクテルも非常に良心的な値段なので、安心して美味しい食事が出来ます。写真をクリックするとこのホテルのサイトに行けますが、英語のみです。

Soria Moria Boutique Hotel ($45): This new boutique hotel has beautifully decorated rooms. Moreover, its guests are served at its what they call "fusion kitchen" that produces very tasty Scandinavian, Khmer, and Japanese dishes. The hotel WiFi network works wonderfully.

Shinta Mani Hotel ($66++) : This hotel can boast many impressive faces: luxury accommodations without being excessively pricey, a refreshing pool, a high-rated restaurant using organic vegetables, an award-winning spa, a specialized training institute of hospitality among many community-related activities, and the distinction of having been given one of the two "best for poverty reduction" awards at a hotel conference in London in 2006. We feel that the management of this hotel is working very hard to make itself a presence in the community, not just a hotel for tourists.
