Viroth's***

This upscale restaurant offers finely prepared Khmer cuisine, both in an open terrace garden and in a covered dining area that is stylishly decorated. The food is very well prepared using the best local products. However, this establishment is not for people who are interested in drinking a lot of alcoholic beverages because a large bottle of Angkor beer is $3.75 and cocktails about $4.00. We think that Bopha Cambodian Restaurant, closer to the Old Market, is a more romantic place for drinking parties.

However, given that Mr. Viroth is an accomplished chef, one could do well to enjoy really high quality, imaginative Khmer food at least once in one's visit to this town.
