Traditional Khmer Food***
|
| This little restaurant, which is situated on the Pub Street Alley or the Passage, is one of only a few purely Khmer food eateries in town. Most dishes are very tasty, authentic, and inexpensive, thus qualifying easily to be a three-star establishment. Particularly attractive in taste and value are three dishes, amok with pork, chicken, or beef, a chicken curry, and a beef lok lak. When you order one of these dishes at a price of $3.25 any time of the day, you get a soft drink or a glass of draft beer, free of charge. We think this is a fantastic deal, almost as good as the deal at Red Piano, which however, only offers the free-beer deal between 5 and 6.30 PM. If you happen to be looking for a duck dish, this eatery has the most expensive item, roasted duck, but we do not recommend it, as it is very little in quantity and the small duck pieces are too bony.
