This online guide is intended to show you how delicious food in Siem Reap is and which eateries you might go for maximum dining pleasure. Before you start visiting restaurants, however, you may wish to learn some facts about restaurants to make sure that you will not encounter unpleasant surprises in this otherwise friendly town.

We have rated the small group of restaurants in an area within the reasonable distance from the Old Market. Our ratings are based on the culinary experiences of ten business and academic people from Europe and Japan who have been here for several years. In addition,  some of their Cambodian friends who work for the NGO called "Education Cambodia" have contributed to our evaluations.

As you will see below, there are many 4-star and 3-star restaurants, which ensure that you will really get delicious food in Siem Reap at a very reasonable cost of $10.00 or less per person. And if the bargain offerings of some restaurants are made use of, three of you can each have a satisfying meal with a draft beer or a soft drink for about $10.00 in total.

The following table shows those 4-star and 3-star restaurants that you will find most satisfying in terms of taste and ambiance, although cost varies greatly among them.
